2009 - Steve and Katie started volunteering for a local rescue. It was in April of 2009 that Smiling K9's was formed and began accepting animals.

2012- As the rescue expanded beyond our wildest dreams, horses started rolling in. We then opened our doors and our hearts to include all types of farm animals in need. The plight of livestock became very apparent and a bit overwhelming.

2013 - Lennoxs Legacy comes into fruition, as we expanded a name that incorporated all animals was needed, we became a licensed non-profit and made the change to our programs and our name.

2016 - Our board has grown, our followers have grown and our horizions have expanded. We are going stronger than ever and the ability to help the homeless is only dependent on our ability to raise the funding needed.

mission & vision

Lennoxs Legacy Rescue is a foster based rescue with a main focus on horses and dogs who have been affected by many forms of abuse and neglect as well as over breeding situations. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, educate and ultimately find permanent placement in homes best suited for each animal's specific needs.

Growing up in a home with many rescue animals, this was a natural transition for me. I am currently the Hospital Manager for a busy Vet Hospital. I have spent many years in the vet field and I truly enjoy every day of this work. Married to Steve for many years and having 3 teenage children, I am blessed with many helping hands.
